What is a UPI QR code?
A UPI QR code encodes a upi://pay URI into a scannable 2D barcode. When a customer opens Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, or any UPI-compatible app and scans the code, the payment form opens with the payee's VPA and optional amount pre-filled. It is the most friction-free way to accept UPI payments in a physical or digital context.
